Research Program

The education and research program of AOSC will focus on the occupational needs, interests and values of people throughout their life course.

AOSC research will focus on 4 life stages: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and older adulthood. Findings from AOSC research will form the basis for recommendations to community agencies, business and government.

Creative occupations, physical occupations, life long learning and technology and communication will be the four broad categories of occupation that will be studied.

AOSC research will involve collaboration with a range of researchers from various disciplines, both from within and outside the University of Wollongong.

Cross cultural studies will form part of the AOSC research program. Through established collegial networks, there is potential for cross cultural studies with universities in Sweden, New Zealand, Canada, United States, Ireland and United Kingdom.
